I don't agree that it would stop if Ann posted - if she said she'd thought again and will resume, her followers would be all over her like a rash, and if on the other hand she says she can't bear all this bickering and vitriol (and who could blame her?) then the thread would go on and on and on.... The site isn't about any one person or what any one group thinks. Going back to the very beginning, I found Prudie's original thread a frank and honest opinion - look where it's got us.

Views were sought on a type of thread that a number of ABers have posted over the course of time. Opinions were given on this style of thread and there were no personal comments made towards any one ABer.

As time has gone by the related threads have spawned and comments have become increasingly personal and with no good reason.

AB would be terribly dull if we all agreed all of the time, but an awful lot of angst could be saved if folk actually read threads rather than reading the first and last posts before weaving their own imaginative 'bit in the middle'.

Eccles...I feel I owe you an apology.....twice you posted about your birthday... once about some vouchers your mother in law had given you for your birthday that weekend.......usable ones, I think they were, as opposed to what MrsO had received....and once....it's a vague memory but about your birthday being next...Sunday...I believe....
