Where do you get your Avators from, is there a special website where you can choose one?

Some people use their own photos, others use a search engine and find a picture they like, others use avatar sites. Be aware that not all avatar sites are safe and that you cannot use the animated avatars here. You also need to register at http://www gravatar.com with the same email adress you used to set up your Answerbank account.

You can use any picture from your computer or the internet (as long as it's not offensive)

Thanks for your help. I will register with Gravatar and then think about what to choose. MargoTester you have given me an idea with star signs.
I was thinking about a picture of the 4 middle letters of my username but i don't think that would be acceptable :-) By the way, when I chose that name, I didn't realise what the middle bit spelt.
