Not sure about the youtube error, but as for the IE version:
just below the address bar (where you type the web address in), there should be a group of tabs that read: file, edit, view, favourites, tools, help.
Click on "help" and click on "about internet explorer".
If the tabs aren't present, move your cursor just above the address bar and right click - then click on "menu bar" so there's a tick next to it - the list of tabs (menu bar) will now appear.
