It was one of the interesting things about the "Farm" series on the beeb and also the "garden" and the "kitchen garden" series that they did cover the minutiae of every day life so far as they could.
Which isn't true anyway. As you can see, my history is incompetent, but I've never started any wars (not major ones anyway). It would never have occurred to me. Maybe it actually does more harm than good.

Yes, mushroom...................but it will never happen again, I have learned my lesson!
I didn't wander off in a huff Peter, I was absolutely shattered after a very long day in a very tiring week, that's why I wished you goodnight. Certain circumstances do repeat, but there is never an exact match because history is about people and different people react to those circumstances differently. That's why studying the reactions gives us the best clues we can get. OK? Very basic illustration, if arms races take place then a war usually ensues. That's all, nothing Earth-shattering.
