Hopefully this is not a 'one off' victory for justice but the start of an improvement for women who are currently treated worse than vermin.

// That was the CIA, Ludwig! //

Of course. I was forgetting it's all an American/Zionist conspiracy to paint the sweet and cuddly Taliban in a bad light.
Thassa boy! :o)
I have never been kidnapped but have usually been treated with respect by many people. Not all. Why should respect make me want to change my religion (if any)?
Kidnapping would really make me averse to any claimed religion.
I have nothing of value to contribute to the discussion, except to say that I daily thank God for not creating me a Mohammedan. The tragedy is that these people sincerely believe they are doing the will of God. It brings all religion into disrespect, whether you believe or not.
Ludwing - You rely on media and I have first-hand knowledge. Or the knowledge from people there in the area. Why I am saying that is because you don't even know the difference between Afghan Taliban and Pakistani Taliban. Afghan Taliban are the people who existed during the 90s under the same name. But you would not hear about Pakistani Taliban before 2003 or 2004. That is the time when at that times Pakistan President allowed CIA to go into Pakistani tribal areas and what they did was created these terrorists who killed over 65K people in Pakistan. Their main job was to create unrest in Pakistan. These two (Afghan and Pakistani Taliban) have nothing to do with each other and even their objectives are different. They all have American, Indian and Israeli weapons but no Pakistani govt speak about it openly because they have their own interest including families and assets in Western countries. These are the people who shot Malala, and now are being cleaned by Pakistani Army as they had enough and they decided to go against the wishes of the govt.

Having said that, when it comes to Malala, I was in Pakistan when she got shot and very next day that had big banners on almost every lamppost in every big city in Pakistan. Knowing my own country very well it is impossible to arrange, pay for and get all these banners up within a day or two. So someone somewhere knew beforehand and had made all of the arrangements for this to go on walls.

Malala was an innocent girl caught in conspiracy. But there are so many more Malalas killed by drone attacks in Pakistan. Do you even know their names?

George Galloway said one thing he said that had Malala been killed an American drone attack, world would have never heard her name.
