I'm hoping to make some changes to my bathroom. One of the things I would like is a walk in shower or shower enclosure in place of the bath. Unfortunately,my bathroom is quite small and the shower would have to go in the same space that the bath takes up. This would mean buying a shower tray that is 1600mm x 600mm and I have not been able to find one in this size. The smallest width seems to be 700mm and this would be too wide. I've gone through pages and pages on Google and there was one on ebay but it had been sold, but at least I know they do come in this size. Any idea where I might get one from please?
Would a wet room not be a better option, just a drainage hole in the floor where the bath used to be. This is what happens when social services change the bathrooms from a bath to shower for elderly people.
www.brokenbog.com it is the right website and if you find something I believe they deliver ...at a price. They are near Farnham Hampshire/Surrey border.
The Builder (Any chance of nudging the WC over for 100mm or so?)
'fraid not as WC is right next to the basin.
megfitz and 237SJ I think they will be too expensive for me I'm afraid.
Will probably just start phoning bathroom shops to see if I'm on an impossible mission. Thanks for trying to help me.
Even if you don't want a full wet room, would it be acceptable to you to have floor prepared for one then use a shower screen to make shower "enclosed"
Or another alternative, you could create a faux shower tray with timber and have it lined with a wet room flooring material - altro is one supplier I know of
