After several satisfactory years with AB we felt we were were not getting full prompt action when typing etc. Printing very jerky. Likewise the slider or subject selection very spasmodic. Despite trying to contact AB we decided to Sign up with a AB using a new profile etc.. We now find no improvement at all.Can you please help????

1. Press the windows button on your keyboard 2. Describe what happens :) So have you reinstalled FF?

Chintz, I have a similar problem and it only seems to be with the AB.
that sounds like your computer having problems, rather than AB; or perhaps it's more accurate to say your computer and AB aren't interacting a they should. I've had no trouble, with a desktop and using Firefox as a browser.

Sorry you seem to be having some trouble. We have no problems registered at the moment so could you let us know how you are accessing AB?

Are you on a mobile device like a phone or tablet or on a laptop or pc etc.

Which Operating System eg Windows, are you using and which version?

Which browser are you using eg Chrome, Firefox etc and again which version.

Then we can check it out and hopefully get it sorted.

I've noticed the last couple of days that if I highlight some text, go to 'edit' - 'copy' that when I 'paste', I get the piece of text I used previously. ?
It's not my laptop. It was happening with my old lappy and I got a new one last month but it's still happening. It's obviously not a major problem, just a bit of a minor niggle that's all.

Desktop comp. Windows XP. 8 I believe. Have tries search engines FF, Chrome and Inbox.

Quite often we get Sign showing Pages unresponsive and OOPS something funny happened to this account.

Changing your username won't improve your browser's performance.

Do you use any toolbars or plugins on your browser?

fao Auntie. Tks for esponse,My idea behind changing the user name was to set up a completely new link to AB in case there was an inbuilt problem in my system. It also enabled me to sign o as I had lost my profile and "welcome". I have deleted my browser contact with FF and Chrome and will try Inbox only.
The changeover etc took place

yesterday evening and up to now seems 100pc better. The slider is more smooth and typing not so jerky.
The pc tells me I have Windows 7 but other times I am upgraded to 8 Pl advise ?

I have many of the contributions over the past year regarding the closure of XP back up. In general can you tell me what others have chosen to. Many thanks for your help.

Auntie - Tried both Windows buttons . Start menu only appears. FF not reinstalled.
@Chintz.....You are honoured. Not only has Auntie replied to you but Big Ed has also entered the frame.

Then close your browser and try again.

I sometimes get this problem where answers disappear for no apparent reason. I'm using Google chrome.

Are you suggesting we use internet explorer for AB?

Please can someone tell me how to sign up for FireFox. I have tried several ways viaa Search Engine but I always get the message that my application is blocked by Internet Explorer.
Ref Ab Editor. I did answer your questions on th, Any reply please.
A sincere thank you to all the AB folk who responded. Now have FF working. Tks again.
