Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem . We have a computer and laptop which is connected to BT broadband . internet explorer was working fine and 30 minutes later we can't get it although it is working fine on ordinary computer . It is connected as usual and laptop does come on.

Ditch IE and download another free browser such as Firefox or Chrome.

When you say you cant get internet explorer do you mean you cant get the internet explorer browser itself, or is it that when you start it up you don't get a connection to the internet?

Is there a button on the laptop to turn wi fi on and off?

Often this is a small button along the edge of the laptop keyboard and it is very easy to flick this on/off by mistake.

Have you changed anything on the laptop. New hardware or software, or have you altered any of the settings?

If Internet Explorer is the only browser on the laptop and it does not work how is he going to download Firefox or Chrome?

are your routers lights showing as normal ?

Sorry for being so long in replying due to hospital appointments. I discovered it was a wireless switch along the bottom which I never noticed was there must have moved it by mistake , now it works . Thank you all so much. Saved a big bill at computer shop.
