why is my diesel fiesta kangarooing?

when I drive at slower speeds my diesel fiesta starts to judder/kangarooing. I've never had diesel before and only had it a month, it's especialy bad when I have passengers, anyone kindly have any idea why it does this? my local garage does not touch diesel cars :O(

go to the basics, check the diesel filter first,because a dirty filter usually produces those symptoms.

It does depend on how slow you mean. When crawling in low gear for instance some cars can develop a rocking momentum caused by the slack in the transmission and you need to dip the clutch sometimes to stop it. If it is at higher speeds then you might be using too high a gear for the speed.


Aside from that it could be a mechanical problem, misfiring because of injector or compression fault or fuel related like air in the system or as taff says try changing the fuel filter. If you bought from a dealer then take it back to be fixed.
