Gamepad On Pc

I've just re-installed a gamepad on my PC (after several years of not bothering with it) because I couldn't get the key combination for a particular action in a game to work and the gamepad does, indeed, let me do what's required.

Using it again has made me wonder if there are any game genres or individual games on PC that play better using a gamepad rather than the usual mouse/keyboard combo?

Thanks for those links - it would seem that a lot of the games that I already have could be improved by using a gamepad. I'll just give them a go and see. I've been using mouse+keyboard for so long that it seems the natural thing to do and have quite forgotten what gameplay was like before that sc. using a gamepad on a PS2.
