The thousands that go missing are teenagers, and their stories barely make a ripple news-wise.

It is absolutely not true that thousands of young children simply go missing every year. Child abductions still make headlines.

Of course it is more serious when a toddler goes missing, they are defenceless infants who cannot look after themselves.

Whereas teenagers are always going missing simply because they refuse to honour house rules, had had a row with their parents, and are under the misguided impression that the grass is greener on the other side of the hill, and that they can make it big in the big city.
