I have a suede handbag that I want to sell on Ebay. It is slightly too big for an A3 postal bag so I was wondering what to pack it in. I don`t want to pack it in so much packaging that the postal price puts people off bidding for it. I have heard of people using dustbin bags for postage but would they split in the post?

Hi 237SJ Posted many things on E Bay so would suggest 1) Wrap in Bubblewrap then 2) Use a dustbin bag and seal with brown parcel tape. HTH. FBG40

I use rubble sacks (which are like bin liners but far, far stronger) to post all my parcels in. They're sold in big supermarkets as well as DIY stores.

Thank for the replies. That helps a lot. I don`t think I`ll buy the rubble sacks because I only want one so I`ll do the bubble wrap and maybe double up on the bin bags. Thanks again.
Send it via Collectplus or MyHermes both have dedicated ebay applications and are a lot cheaper than Royal mail plus they include £50 insurance, full tracking and signature on delivery. I use them all the time now. £4.20 for a parcel up to 2Kg, they are not worried about size either I sent a walking frame to Cornwall for £4.20. MyHermes even collect the parcel from your door for no extra charge.
