Could somebody please help with the following

What links the following pop songs-Space Oddity,Bohemian Rhapsody,Unchained Melody,Fairy Tale of New York,Pure Shores and Ball Park Incident?

It's a specific link which would exclude the vast majority of others

Well I know the first three all got to Number 1 twice. Perhaps the others did aswell.

wizard? Roy Wood? carl wayne oh no that was move. All saints? Oasis? Pogues? Bowie? Queen? They were all out of stock at Christmas? All christmas No1s? Not record labels cos Queen were EMi and Bowie was Decca, Pure Shores was an album as was ball park incident.

Ward-Minter, FToNY or Ball Park Incident never made No.1.

The only thing I can see is that the titles of the songs don't actually appear in the lyrics of the songs.I can't quite see where ' would exclude the vast majority of others' comes in though, as there have been loads of other songs that share this charachteristic.

So probably not this either....oh well !

I think it probably is the fact that none of them contain their own titles. As whattheheck correctly says, it's actually quite common for songs to have this characteristic, but for some reason most people seem to imagine it's very rare. I expect the person who devised the question just didn't realise how common it is.

The version of this question I have seen mentions, Space Oddity, Bohemaian Rhapsody, Unchained Melaody and The Ballad Of John And Yoko and the answer being that they are all No 1 singles that do not mention the title in the lyrics
