Havn't bought tickets for years, I am lucky enough to see gigs for free.
A friend looks after press for Joe Bonamassa and when Joe played his specialist gigs in London - three nights playing three diferent albums, tickets were £500 each. As my friend was waiting for guests at the box office, a guy rolled up and asked for two tickers. On being told that would be one thousand pounds, he flashed his card without flinching.

I once had a rush of blood to the head and paid over £100 for a ticket in the Orchestra Stalls to see "Götterdämmerung", at Covent Garden back in 1990. It would cost at least £200 now.
This was the only ticket I could get, as all the cheaper ones had sold out and I had ploughed through the first three operas of the Ring and I was damned if I was going to miss out on the last one !

Mikey your £100 ticket may be around £164 - I think I was sitting in one for Marriage of Figaro now available on CD for much less ! I think I touted for the ticket for x pounds - like £40 and found that the punters wanted any amount for a ticket that had cost them £164. Sat next to a girlie who yawned throughout to show lover-boy how bored she was by it all - and he had paid £328 for the evg.
