Morning :)

They never did the operation. The second consultant I spoke to refused to do it - I don't know the whole story as I was out of it on Cyclizine and Tramadol.

Thanks everyone for wishing me good luck :)

Methyl: you have a point there! However they might be fed up of me making my own bed and cleaning my own room! They said I should of been put on the payroll this morning.

The food isn't too bad as long as you get what you ordered and it's not stone cold.

Psybbo: Thanks for asking Ummmm about me, she never mentioned the post however in her defense she has had to run around after the cats, busy woman she is.
Presume they have your pancreas sorted out then.....good luck on escaping.

I don't know. I'm not in as much pain though so that's a bonus.

A specialist has just been round (not to see me but other patients) and publicly shamed the doctor because the patient hadn't received a certain medication. It wasn't her fault though. What a nasty piece of work.
Sorry Sibs, I didn't see the thread. I have to share the computer at the moment.

It looks like I may have cellulitis on my eyelid now as well. Such fun. I thought my vision was blurred due to the tablets I'm on combined with impetigo. Oh well...
You really think they'll let you out Sunday? x
if you come out on sunday - good luck in recovering completely at home.

if you don't come out on sunday - good luck for your continued stay in hossie.

I don't know now. Nurse has just looked at it and thinks it's just impetigo.
ooooh eeerrrr!
Question Author
Doctor just been round, he's keeping me in over the weekend and then sending me to an eye specialist on Monday.
yeah good you shouldnt get impetigo in a hospital !

Was it a hot gall bladder or pancreatitis ? They wont operate if the latter
Question Author
I don't know PP. What I do know is that my eye is killing.

Here's a picture of my eye. I know it looks small but it's causing me to have double vision.

You can get anything in hospitals...not the healthiest of places.

Hi! Dizmo.

Looks like Peri-orbital cellulitis.......bacterial infection. Sometimes comes from infected sinuses.
Not a big deal considering the bigger picture of orbital infections.

I would have thought that the surgeons would shy away from operating on your gall bladder, as the bacterial eye situation, could cause a problem.
Question Author
Sqad: How does one get rid of Peri-orbital cellulitis?
First of all by a course of the appropriate antibiotic and then some X-Rays of the sinuses to exclude a root cause.
Question Author
I'm using Fusidic Acid cream. I've just heard them sat I'm going for yet another CT scan. They are going to see whether or not the pancreatic cyst has got any bigger as it could be the reason why I feel nauseous. Does that sound to you Sqad?
Antibiotic cream wouldn't be my choice, but that is only a matter of opinion.......if your eye doesn't settle, then intravenous antibiotics may be required.

Scan on the pancreas...excellent move.
Hope it all goes well for you Diz.
