Was He Being Racist And Is It Racist.
This is the cartoon that was on Mario Balotelli's Instagram account, my personal opinion is its the opposite, hes telling people to like everyone regardless of where they are from, is it a fuss about nothing and are people being over sensitive. ?

That is just not true, it has nothing to do with hindsight.
Bobby Robson famously said of Gascoigne (when Gascoigne was world class)
"He's as daft as a brush"
Much better than saying "That bloke has mental issues"
Which was probably nearer the truth."
I don't imagine that Mr Robson would feel himself qualified to comment on Mr Gascoigne's psychological state - he's a football manager and ex-player, and reaped the rewards of Gascoigne's talent along with everyone else.
Saying he is 'daft as a brush' simply underlines my point - everyone liked to see Paul Gascoigne as a clown, a bit of a lad, the life and soul of the party, and all those other nonsensical terms that mean people can simply ignore the fact that he had issues which ramped up into serious damage as soon as he was cut loose from the world of money and adoration he enjoyed as a player.

Why do people automatically think -footballer=thick?
Given that most of them are not particularly well educated
Why can't these thick footballers just stick to playing soccer
I honestly think that Balotelli is too stupid to understand the concept of racism,
I bet someone advised Balotelli as to the school, and as to kids

Sorry to drag the thread back onto course...and all that.....
In my opinion, an existing meme with a scatter-gun approach to racism/national stereotyping, re-posted by a black Italian raised by a Jewish foster-parent fails on all levels to be considered racist. Granted, it may not have been a terribly wise move to have posted it, but the furore generated seems a little over-contrived.
Quite how intelligent Balotelli may, or may not, be is neither here nor there.

yet again you have the advantage - could you elaborate on your point please?

..as is the case with alot of furore these days.
Someone says something a bit daft which is seen by millions of people. About 10 of them complain (the usual professional complainers/offended), the papers get hold of it and contrive to blow it out of all proportion because it's a juicy story, and everyone runs around like headless chickens apologising and ordering inquiries because that's what's expected.
