Leaving the UK

I have a friend who intends leaving the UK to pursue her career in Africa, but has no funds to travel. Is there any organisation that could assist her? She said she hasn't been able to save enough.

I think it depends on her career. If she is in teaching or medical work, the organisations usually pay for your flights and accomodation etc. Try looking at www.vso.org.uk . Unfortuanately, I think if you haven't got a specific job/qualification that the organisation is looking for, you have to do it on a volunteer basis and this means having to fund your own travel costs. Could she not try and raise some funds?
