Repressurising A Worcester Greenstar 281

The pressure is down to zero after bleeding a radiator but can't use the key to repressurise as it won't lock on and just keeps falling out -it is quite new, is there a solution or will we have to buy a new key somewhere? Of course we don't have any heating or hot water so hope someone can advise asap. TIA rosy

I don't know why a popular brand such as Worcester should go for these silly keys. Many of the other makes just provide a couple of simple on/off valves.

The alternative is to fit an external filling loop, bypassing the key business. Very easy to do, but probably not much help to you at the moment

I'd be very surprised if there is anything wrong with the key, though.

Thank you both for replying with good advice. I followed the video, Builder but still couldn't do it, but had a friend look at it, who had more nerve than me I suppose, and he twisted the key a bit (which the guy on the video didn't seem to do) and lo it clicked into place! ) Nice and cosy again-when you know better you do better :o) Thanks again -rosy
P.S. Keys £8 for one small and one big plastic key on Amazon -what a rip-off!
