If an item is sent recorded on sat morning does that dat count as a working day?

And is due today?

If it's recorded you can usually track it.

I don't think weekends are classed as working days.

Ive tracked it on the site it says its in there system and they recieved it at 7am sat, just wondering if i should wait in because if they leave a card i have to go to the otherside of the city to collect it.
It's 50/50 I'm afraid! Same thing happened to me last week but the parcel travelled on Monday and actually arrived on Tuesday. Although they didn't have it by 7am on Saturday it was a fair bit later than that.

I'd stay put if you can. Sorry can't be certain.
With Royal Mail you can arrange for redelivery if you miss it. They have the instructions on the back of the card they leave.
You get to pick the day then.
It is Not compulsory to collect a package which couldn't be delivered to you. You can make arrangements by telephone or book 'on line' for the item to be re-delivered 'free of charge'.

Recorded Delivery is not tracked - in detail. Just receipt and delivery IIRC

Special Delivery is

For items posted on a Saturday it depends on whether they get the last collection on the Saturday - at my local PO it can be as early as 0900 - as to how far and how quickly they get
