It's my son's 45th birthday today. This has taken me by surprise as I've no idea where the years have gone and I'm certainly far too young to have a 45 year old!!

I've told my kids they are not allowed to get any older.

well yes gness they have some...but they'd have a heck of a job doing the 80's spikey style I had to fund for a year or two. It cost me a fortune in gel and (my!) hairspray. :)

Son started thinning in his early 20s and has shaved his head ever since. Beard is more grey than brown when he doesn't bother to shave! He's known locally as baldy broon, but I love him to bits.

Belated happy birthday wishes to your son Maggie. Hope he had a lovely day. As you say, how did he suddenly become 45? When did that happen? It was only yesterday that I was 18 and now , today, I'm 100! What happened to all the years in between?
