MY DOG HAS HAD FLEAS FOR OVER 4 MONTHS, AT FIRST I GOT FLEA TREATMENT FROM THE VET ( IT WAS NOT FRONTLINE ) I USED THE 3 TREATMENTS AS INSTRUCTED. BUT SHE STILL HAD THEM, SO I BOUGHT FRONTLINE, SHE HAS HAD 1 COURSE OF THIS, AND STILL HAS FLEAS. DO YOU THINK SHE HAS GOT IMMUNE TO THE FLEA TREATMENT

I've never known Frontline not to work. Persevere with it. Maybe your dog needs another treatment of it.
Maybe also try an anti flea shampoo.

First of all its not the dog who becomes immune to the flea treatment, its the fleas.
Yes, in some areas of the country fleas are becoming immune to fipronil which is the active ingredient in frontline.
NEVER EVER use two kinds of flea treatment at the same time. It can make the dog very ill.
Finally did you treat the entire house including anywhere that your dog doesn't go, including toilets, bathrooms and wardrobes, AND the car and any other cats or dogs that you have or that your dog spends time with? For the environment (NOT PETS) I use RIP Flea which isn't cheap but goes a long way and works. Read the instructions carefully and be sure to follow them.
I would go back to your vet and get advice on how soon you can treat your dog again and what with, because, as I said, it can make the dog ill to keep piling on flea treatments.

i use advocate which i buy from the vet. not cheap but we have never seen a flea on her. I dont have faith in over the counter products.

You need to get rid of the fleas in the house. Ask the vet about 'fumigating' the house to get rid of the flea larva.

I use Frontline, but only the spray from the vets. I don't like using spot on treatments, I prefer the spray which kills all fleas on the animal and prevents any more hatching. You do need to do the house as well though, and you can buy 'flea bombs' which you leave in a room and let them off.

+1 for RIP,and also Indorex. Both are ment to work for up to 6 months,killing flea larvae. Both can be bought on Amazon for around £10.
I use Advantage...its been very effective,whereas Frontline never worked. Also available on Amazon,or try VioVet.
