Council Houses to migrants

So one of our own judges has ruled we have to give council houses to migrants. Why do we constantly shoot ourselves in the foot? The rest of the EU must be pi55ing themselves. It's on the front of the Express so it must be true ok!

If the money raised from selling council houses had been re-invested in more council housing, we wouldn't be in the mess we are in now. Apparently councils were not allowed to use this money and it was put to one side, where has it gone now?

nathan thats easier said than done when you cant work as you have a severely disabled child to look after, one income wont get us a mortgage, all our spare money goes on equiptment for our child, most people simply cannot afford the property market in this day and age

Are you talking about illegal immigrants, asylum seekers, ecomonic migrants or what?

Or, as I suspect, are you just using people with a black/non-white face to blame all your woes on?

You people...really.

For every story you tell about injustice, I could give you five more. For every time you complain about poor living conditions, think about Anthony Walker.

For every time you complain about nopisy neighbours, you think about those 'migrants' who get up at 05:00am to work in agriculture, food preparation and hotels which you enjoy.

If you want scapegoats for your own problems, don't blame immigrants...blame yourselves.

sp it's not a black and white issue (you would be suprised, not everything is!) its an issue of how unfair the system is. Someone mentioned an idea that people claiming benefits should work for the local council doing menial tasks, I agree with that notion for those that can. Had to respond to your constant race card approach sp, no wonder there is tension.
