Finally it looks like they are listening to the voice of reason - me. A 15 minute GP appointment turned to 40 minutes but I've walked out with a positive result.

I'm going to celebrate by surprising the kids at school and taking them for a bike ride - not looking forward to getting 3 bikes to school though lol. I'll just leave very early!

That's good news. Someone had to start listening.

How is the pain at the moment? x
So you're the awkward bar-steward who holds everyone else up at the doctor's surgery!

(I'm please that you're making progress though, Dizmo).

Pain the same but I've been given a months worth of Oxy so and the doctor is happy she's seen me - as am I to see and speak with her. Originally she wanted to take me off the Oxy and put me on slow release tramadol. I explained that I'm already taking 400 - 600mg of tramadol (explaining the fact I'm taking more than the max statd dose) so 200mg slow release isn't going to work. She isn't too concerned that I'm O/D on tramadol but would rather me stick to one opiate because otherwise it could be awkward for them and me in the long run. My Oxy has been up to 60mg a day and I'm to use tramadol if required. All in all it's a good outcome from todays visit.
At last Dizmo, I am pleased for you. Enjoy your bike ride with the kids.
Well done Dizmo, isn't it great when someone listens and understands. Get the stabilisers our and thrill the kids.
Good news at last Diz xx
