Batteries For Pana-Vue9 Slide Viewer
3 Answers
I have an 1980's Pana-Vue 9 Lighted Slide Viewer by Veiw Master and it needs batteries but the box does not say what size. Can anyone tell me - it takes 2 and AA are too small. Thanks in advance if you can help.

It probably uses D cells:

(Googling suggests that most older Pana-Vue viewers used them).
The only alternative would be C cells:

but I can't find any reference to Pana-Vue using them.
C cells are the same length as AA batteries (within half a millimetre anyway) but fatter.
D cells are about 1cm longer than AA batteries and even fatter still.
