not been on for a while my own decision! having read a few threads this morning on here can any of the moderators tell me when they sign up to be a moderator are you asked by the A/B ed to keep your views impartial or does anything go and you say what you like as other members do?

The only advice from the Ed is that, in order to avoid the possibility of being flamed, moderators shouldn't reveal that they're mods. (Chuck, Craft, B00 and myself, possibly with one or two others that I've forgotten about, have decided to ignore that advice. The other dozen or so mods seem to have gone along with it).
