A typical Daily Mail report: "Bogden Croitor of Stanmore, London, had been given permission to live in Britain".

Total rubbish. He can't have been given permission to live in the UK because he doesn't need it. Latvia has been in the EU since 2004, so he's got just as much right to live here as any British citizen does.

Perhaps we should be querying why someone who has a perfect right to live here can't be joined by his immediate family, including his wife, irrespective of their place of birth?

I have a very nice Latvian couple living next door to me, the man of the house is forever doing renovation/DIY (my only issue with them).
