Am I wrong (paranoid) in not opening emails starting Dear Customer rather than my name? EG. BT and Amazon.

You're spot on ,if genuine they should have your name.

If in doubt,delete.

Thanks mamya. If I have an account with them know my name.
Received a letter which incidentally did have my proper name on it. It was from Santander to tell me the new interest rate for my ISA. Crap rate so was very happy that I don't have an ISA with them!

I seem to have quite a few accounts which I know I have never opened.
Getting boring.
I am getting scamming emails every day, supposedly coming from BT. I have reported them to BT but it makes no difference. If I get anything that looks dodgy these days, I always go straight and directly to the company themselves.
Delete what you know nothing about Daisy.
