Can You Knit?

If you are a knitter this is the 'must have' book. You can while away the rest of the cold winter evenings knitting away to your hearts content.

No, I don't wolfie. I did as a girl at school but now ? nooo, I wouldn't even know how to cast on. I notice on the news this morning that the IFAW are looking for knitters to knit little gloves/bootees for koalas that had their paws badly burnt in forest fires.

I am glad that I am not the only one who can't knit. I started making a scarf once, but there was something wrong with the wool and it looked odd. I binned it.

I tried a scarf once. It just went on and on. I didn't know how to stop! It ended up looking like the one worn by Tom Baker in Dr Who

I recently found a tiny part- knitted jumper I was making for my youngest toddler. He is now 6'3".

Yes, I can but I have to be in the mood. Consequently, I have a jumper on the go that last saw the light of day, three years ago. I get my knitting basket and take out the pattern, read the instructions and think.....'Maybe tomorrow.' I hope the jumper still fits when I finally finish it in several years time.
