I am so sick of having everything we worked for & fought for, denigrated and given away. T.G. I did not vote for Blair . I was born after the war BTW, but feel the history and unity of my country - my ancestry goes back pre Norman invasion and I'm no-one special, no titles etc., just ordinary - is nowadays of no account. It isn't! It is my country! Again, sorry if this is too strong, but I am fed up of being so tolerant that other cultures gain precedence in my country.

I think a lot of us are confused ( or even just dont know ) and that is through years of being told that there is no point of saying "if only I knew then what I know now, " as it doesnt do anyone any good
As a child - I was always confused to be told there were two ends of the war VE day and then a month or two later VJ day - there were nt two starts to the war if you think about it.

and she came back with - the victims' narrative has held sway for too long - fifty years. The Russian slave labourers in Dresden for example thought O good we willbe liberated soon....
