What does it matter if you don't shower every day? Some people are obsessed with showering twice a day which is ridiculous.

sometimes makes him sweat

I shower daily in the morning and bathe daily in the evenings, in fact I have just got out of the bath and into my PJs :)
The leaving the makeup on a bedtime thing I am guilty of sometimes.

Growing up in the kids homes we bathed twice a week, Wednesday and Sunday. It was all we were allowed. Strip washes were daily though.
