Well I think it's extortion anyway.
Bought two tickets for Andre Rieu at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow for December. Did everything online including printing off my tickets but they still charged £9.60 per ticket "service charge". Don't mind paying for something, but these charges are just ridiculous, it's not as if you can go to a box office and buy them.

Moan over for the day...................... oh wait, it's only noon!

Gordie was ranting about that a few weeks back. It is a lot of money to charge per ticket.

However - enjoy the concert!

Er, do you mean like the one Exhibition Way, which is open from 0900 to 1800, Monday to Saturday?

Or, of course, you could phone the Scottish Exhibition & Conference Centre's booking facility (which handles ticketing for the SSS Hydro) during the same hours (and also between 1100 and 1800 on Sundays).

From the SSE Hydro's own website:
"Advice from the National Arenas Association (NAA): Always call the venue Box Office first" !!!

You will forget how much you paid when you see him . I saw him 2 years ago in BIrmingham . Absolutely breath taking . Fabulous show .
I think £9.60 'service charge' is disgusting frankly !

Thanks for the link Buenchico, will remember that for the future. Takes me 1.5 hours to get to Glasgow so a bit far to go to pick up tickets.
What about having to pay 12/7d to send a letter?
Now that is extortion....
