I am looking for a hardy plant that will flower each year, does not need pruning for a grave.......I will only get to visit about once a year.
Grave is in good sunshine and has good soil.
Any suggestions please?
TIA

Lavender or a dwarf, hardy Hebe?
what time of year will you visit?
I think one of the shorter stemmed Dianthus may be good choice, summer flowering.
We planted heathers at fathers grave and they look nice and don't need much attention.

Not wanting to put a dampener just check with the verger/caretaker or whatever they're called. The cemetery where my mother is buried does not allow any planting on the graves, not even spring bulbs.
Crocus perhaps
I would try some wild flower seed. Prepare the soil and scatter it thinly, with a bit of luck they should self seed and also be good for the insects.
