Prince Charles was driving around the Windsor Castle estate when he accidentally ran over his mother's favourite corgi, crushing it to a pulp. He got out of his Range Rover and sat down on the grass, totally distraught. The whole world was against him anyway, and now his mother would go ballistic. Suddenly, he noticed an old oil lamp half buried in the ground. He dug it up, started cleaning it up, and immediately a genie appeared.
"You have freed me from thousands of years of imprisonment," said the genie. "As a reward, I shall grant you one wish."
"Well," said the Prince, "I have all the material things I need, but let me show you this dog." They walk over to the splattered remains of the dog. "Do you think you could bring this dog back to life for me?" the Prince asked.
The genie carefully looked at the remains and shook his head. "This body is too far gone for even me to bring it back to life. Is there something else you would like?"
The Prince thought for a minute, reached into his pocket and pulled out two photos. "I was married to this beautiful woman called Diana," said Charles, showing the genie the first photo. "But now I love this woman named Camilla," and he showed the second photo to the genie.
"You can see that Camilla isn't beautiful at all, so do you think you can make Camilla as beautiful as Diana?"
The genie studied the two photographs and, after a few minutes, said, "Let's have another look at that dog."

Didn't get an invite ( surprise, surprise) but if I had I would have gone, because much as I detest the royal family and can't for the life of me understand why they buy into all this being instructed to marry people, I do actually have some respect for Charles having come to the end of his tether with being told what he can and can't do and finally making a declaration to the woman he's loved for years.I'm sorry he had an unhappy marriage in the meantime ( for both he and Diana) but I'm glad he called a halt to being a wimp and did as he pleased with regards to his woman. He's not the first King or future King to have done so, so the excuse that royals must follow certain protocols doesn't stand up to scrutiny ( Edward IV and Elizabeth Woodville spring to mind etc etc etc). I find it easier to respect him now than before and I actually quite like Camilla, she's down to earth and pleasant enough from what can be seen of her and i hope both of them are very happy.
Thanks for your responses. jon1968 you did make me laugh, nice one! noxlumus sorry I meant to give you 3 stars but clicked the wrong one! I agree about Charles being a wimp! If he'd have married Camilla in the 1st place a lot of heartbreak would have been spared.Cliffsdoll, I would'nt say Diana was perfect but I think her affair's were through pure loneliness.Camilla actually chose Diana for Charles and groomed her,she was just a baby maker sadly discarded when that job was done. gessoo, I agree, looks are not everything but Di was'nt empty headed by any means plus she showed her boys much more love than Charles. She was the people's princess and suffered by the hands of the "Firm" because of it.Charles was insanely jealous of her popularity. Camilla will never be as popular as Di and she knows it no doubt. Thanks peeps.:-))
