Search Protect client connect ltd. Anyone know what this is please? Won't let me uninstall it. thanks

Its a bit of malware.

I would use Malwarebytes to remove, but something at the back of my mind tins that either Buenchico or Hans mentioned within the past 2 weeks that this needed something else to remove it!

If I find the relevant post, I'll return.

Well it wasn't me! I'd certainly try Malwarebytes first. Download, install and run the free version from here: https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/ Click the grey 'Download' link. During the installation process take care to deselect the pre-ticked option to take a free trial of the 'Premium' version. If it finds malware, ensure that everything found has a tick next to it and then use the 'quarantine' option to zap it.

If that doesn't work try using just steps 1, 2 & 4 from here:

If it's still there, hit it with all 5 steps!

@Tuvok......Buenchico has claimed innocence and I am doing likewise.☺☺☺ However, I did recently say that McAfee is Not easy to remove and often requires an official removal tool to be downloaded and run.

You were right to suggest Malwarebytes to remove Kat's offending programme and Chris (Buenchico) has suggested likewise. It's to be hoped that kat1 follows the advice and reports back to us of success.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Buenchico, tried first download but no success so did second option and coming up, 'Non malware detected', Malware bytes has blocked a program?
