Charge Battery On Laptop
4 Answers
Hi Everyone,
My wife has a laptop that she has run on mains power for a couple of years with the battery disconnected. Today we put the battery in and although the computer recognised the battery it said "Not charging" I've tried several things to resolve this problem, most of them from Youtube but to no avail. I've uninstalled the drivers in the device manager turned all the power off removed then reinstalled the battery. (which automatically re installs the drivers) For the record the battery is as good as brand new, as it's not been used. Over to you good people.

I had a Packard-Bell notebook PC once that never showed a battery charge of more than 8% but still worked happily on the mains. It was fine for using in the house.
