Cough Mixture - Should We Take It ?

WARNING: Read no further if you're squeamish.

I'm currently suffering with a heavy cold with frequent coughing up of copious amounts of the vilest phlegm.

Now although I've got cough mixture in the medicine cabinet, I'm reluctant to use it because surely I will be repressing nature's elimination of this awful substance which can't be good - better out than in surely.

If the cough mixture is an expectorant you will be fine .It will help you to get rid of all that vile phlegm

You definitely need some Benylin, Canary. I've never heard a canary cough.

canary, If it is a productive cough...ie coughing up green or yellow mucus then you need antibitotics. Or can take a chesty cough medicane... dont take a dry cough one if you even suspect it is more than a tickle...It is always better to take the chesty to avoid getting a chest infection as it would surpress it and you need to cough it up...hope you feeling better soon,x
