I don't know about others, but I find Saturday's TV programmes among the worst of the week's viewing.

In terms of viewing figures satirday night is not much higher that a weekday night, and as it is the weekend, you would expect more. Monday nights Eastenders got 9.6million viewers and last saturdays Strictly 11.4million. In April the Royal Wedding got 24.5million and there were no reports of traffic chaos or near crashes.
Most of us have access to On-Demand playback and +1 channels, so the story is even more difficult to believe.
