Try looking on yell.com under function rooms and caterers. Also try www.confetti.co.uk. It's geared more towards weddings but you can do a venue search so there may be something on there.

Hi is this open to all or just students do you know, and do you have a rough price, they wouldn`t do food though would they?
It is open to the public, I asked as it's a great venue and at the time I was social secreatary of a club based in C bury. I don't know the price as I play bass in a band and we use it 2 or 3 times a year for a gig.The students do the sound and lighting for us, so it helps us both out. I got the name of the lady I gave you when I was last there earlier this year. They also said they will let out student rooms in the holidays for an overnight stay when hiring the hall out.

Eastwell manor is very nice but expensive and a long way from Thanet. The club I belong to, use the Marine Hotel in Tankerton, also the Darwin college at Canterbury University and Quex park in Margate, these we use for our dinner dances and are not that cheap. For quizzes and barn dances etc we use Tyler Hill village hall and one over in Lower Hardes but these are all a long way from Thanet. Our club in based in C bury but we have members from all over Kent from Medway to Folkestone and in between. That is why we try to vary our venues. If the one I gave yesterday is any good please let me know, thanks.
Maybe, just maybe, this could help solve your problem: http://www.plumbuffets.co.uk/catering-coventry.html

Do you live with your parents? If you are then it's pretty far from where you live though. But I think they can manage to get there.
