I just had my first one. Has any body else had one and what was can you tell about it.
I was absolutely terrified because of all the bad things I have heard, but apart bfrom the initial small jab and an almighty zonk when it got into place it didn't hurt. I don't know how the poor nurse who was holding my hand did.

I remember the doctor having this little light behind my back as he was doing it to keep the room darkish. I had a nurse front side of me but I can't remember it being particularly painful, but, as I said, I was a bit out of it. I did have some awful back trouble for a few weeks though and it was very painful to try to bend. It was needed though.
