i would love to see something like facebook where you can like or dislike an answer given by other AB'ers, as on the whole i find some of members are so quick witted, some of their answers have me in stitches. but just occasionally i read a question that only needs a straight forward answer and think some of the replies/repliers are sarcastic or totally ignorant, would love to hear your views on this(funny or otherwise)
On reflection, I'll say no too. There are already enough comments on here about in-crowds - people would start Liking their friends' comments, as happens on FB.
Hi Paul, since you joined you have contributed 1 question or answer to this Site every 16 days, so I guess you spend a lot more time on FB and are more used to it. Spend more time with us, you'll get used to it.
I can understand the want for a like/ dislike button, but fear it would create less replies to posts as people would press 'like' then sit back, rather than contribute to the post themselves with a fresh comment.
Liking a post and not adding comment could make threads go stale.
Don't be afraid to post and say you either like or dislike comments - that's what makes AB :-)
