My parents bought a Park Home on a lovely site, when they moved down to Bedfordshire. It was a brand new two bedroomed home with electricity, gas, water, proper toilets and a fantastic walk in shower and was ideal for my Mum who had rheumatoid arthritis.
It was light, airy, warm in winter and cool in summer . It had a pretty garden and the people on the site were very friendly but not invasive. They paid a monthly ground rent. It was a lovely home for my mum to spend her final days and it suited my dad when he was left alone, until he needed to go into residential care. The site owners bought the home from my dad and it was sold on to another elderly couple.
People who live in Park Homes are not trailer trash. That is an ill-informed stereotypical thing to say. Mostly, they are elderly people who want a more affordable and easier to maintain home in pleasant surroundings.

When I was looking for my own place ten years ago,a friend tried to talk me into a park home. Sorry...they just did not appeal. I saw them as for retirees... And though I'm past retirement age now...I still don't see them as what I'd want...yet.
I do know a couple who have one as a weekend home..it's on cliffs overlooking a south Devon beach, and they use it on weekends. That I could cope with. ;-)
