Scratch Or Dent Repairers

Has anyone on here used one of the mobile repair services such as Chips Away etc and would you recommend them? Minor scratches on a white bumper to be repaired.

I've used Chips Away on one occasion about two years ago. It was for a dent in a door panel. I have excellent shade perception and after the repair, I couldn't see anything wrong in the metallic paint. The price was reasonable.

Have heard good and bad. They are franchises so it depends on the people in each individual Company. Try googling for reviews of your local one.

I agree with both posters have used my local chips away three times now on two different cars (only one of the dings was my fault btw) and found them excellent BUT they are a franchise.

I have used then twice. The first time they were first class the second time not so good but they were in different parts of the country. As they are franchised it really is pot luck in your area.

Bit of a lottery really, as they are a franchise you can get a great job or you can get some cowboy without a scooby. Pot luck I'm afraid but just don't pay till you are happy, on the whole I have heard they are pretty good mostly.

You can get ones that aren't franchised.

I used to own a smart repair business. We has 3 mobile vans and would never leave a customer unhappy. There must be quite a few out there.
