An Amusing Story :-)

I was talking to the daughter of an elderly resident I care for. She was telling me "as Mum and dad got older and more frail, I used to call in to their home every morning on the way to work just to check they were OK. and Mum would make me a cup of tea.

One morning I called in and Mum was not looking so good, I said, "you sit there and I will make you a nice cuppa" Ok she replied, "you will need to empty the tea pot and give it a rinse" I open the lit of the tea pot and see some murky looking water, so I poured it into the sink, to my horror, four dentures also fell into the sink!! "well, said Mum, if I put mine and dads teeth in there together, it only takes one Sterident and it keeps the tea pot clean as well!" The poor lady gagged for an hour, all those cups of tea she had been drinking every morning :-)

I'm sure the teapot was clean to the point of sterilisation. No real issue then.

Yuk.
Heard a story on the radio about an old person giving someone a bag of Brazil Nuts. Next time they saw them they thanked them for the nuts. 'Yes' the old guy said, 'I like sucking the chocolate off them, but the nuts are too hard for my teeth'. ;-(
