Women Going Shopping In Tesco, In Pyjamas !

I have just returned from Tesco and while I was there, there was an altercation in the entrance. Two young women were stopped by the Security Guard, because they were wearing pajamas and dressing gowns. They complained bitterly and become abusive but left in a cloud of swear words.

Did these women really think it was OK to go shopping in public dressed like that ?

Nooo! Get up, shower, make-up and perfume on, hair brushed, get dressed in nice clothes - ready for the day. I don't wear onesies, but if I did I wouldn't even open my front door to the postman dressed like that - or in my bathrobe. I've never seen anyone in a supermarket in their pjs. Awful!

I've often seen people shopping in pyjamas (including a group of teenage lads) in the Stanway (Colchester) branch of Sainsbury's. Nobody ever seems bothered by it and I'm certainly not!

In my much younger days, in the late 60's and early 70's, I did frequent nudist beaches on the Greek Islands. Something that puzzled me was the men all put sorts on, to play beach volley ball.

It was only obvious why, when I tried to pay without the said shorts !

Why would I be concerned what anyone wears? I get up have a bath do my hair have a spray of scent and put my make up on... That's me, what anyone else chooses to do is up to them... Live and let live folks

I'm with you mikey, sloppy slovenly dress, foul language shows no respect for people. It is what many people accept especially with yewman rites covering almost everything, but I'm relieved to know that the Security guard objected to them.

We undoubtedly live in an ever-changing world, but for me, going shopping in a dressing gown is never gonna be acceptable. There are some things you just don't do - and that is one of them.

Well done Tesco's for nipping it in the bud.
