not sure where this should be posted so here goes:

clearing out some of my sil's papers I have come across dozens (possibly 100's) of Christmas, easter and birthday cards. they go back years.

do any of you know of any charity or other organisation who would like them? I am willing to separate so that just the front is passed on. they are clean (non-smoking and no pets atmosphere) especially as she used to keep them in their envelopes. she was definitely a keeper of things.

it seems a shame just to throw them away so I do hope someone can help.

i can't see why anyone would want them other than for recycling, which you can do yourself
Day-care centres might be interested in them for the kids to cut out the pictures. That's if kids are allowed to wield scissors these days:)
get a pair of scissors and...

Years ago i cut mine up and glued them into a scrap book and gave them to the childrens ward of a local hospital. they loved them and were very grateful for them.
.
The major supermarkets collect them at Christmas for recycling.

thanks to all of you for your replies. I was hoping they could be used but it seems not. such a shame.
I would contact your nearest Primary School or similar - they may indeed like them for art projects.

thanks mamy. that does a good idea.
you could try googling "recycle christmas cards" plus your postcode and see if anyone near you would take them; they might collect for charity or their own craft purposes.
LJ, maybe someone who makes their own Christmas Cards would be interested in them. My daughter keeps her old cards and cuts out pictures she likes to mount on her new cards.

Maggie thanks for that suggestion but there are hundreds of them. some of them are very lovely and unusual. all good quality. no cheap, produced by the million, ones and that is why I would like to pass them on.

thanks to all of you and I will have a go at all your suggestions.
Hi, LadyJ...have you google Vintage Greetings Cards? There are collectors...x
