Windfall From Facebook

Just heard from a friend that the CEO of Facebook, founder Mark Zuckerberg, has put up $150,000.00 from the Jackpot Nations Help Commissions to help everyone using FB and the people they find their address on their IP.
The Promotion was made to some face book users in order to benefit from them, its a randomly picked off profile on face book. Apparently you text [phone] and say that you heard about the great news from (name of friend).
You need to make payment of $1250 for UPS delivery fees and case file.

I have always believed that if something sounds too good to be true it usually is! Has anyone else heard of this?

It sounds like a scam to me....anything where you are made a fabulous offer but have to cough up first sounds very very fishy.

That's what I thought ladyalex. Worried for my friend though as she thinks it is legitimate but I've no idea how she will manage to scrape together $1250.

Thanks for that folks. I was messaging back and forwards on FB to my friend but when she asked me for my mobile number I phoned her on her landline. She had NOT been messaging me! I wrote F*** O** as the next message and the whole conversation suddenly disappeared. She is currently trying to alert all her FB friends as I'm apparently not the only one who has received this. Has also been reported to FB.

With respect Maggie, It amazes me Why / how, all the time the public get involved in a scam, as said, if something is too good to be true, then it is, it only takes some folk to ask advice from family / friends to get advice nave themselves a lot of money in some cases.

How people get fooled by scam's like this just simply amazes me.

You NEVER get something for nothing by e-mail, FB, Twitter etc.

Go on a TV quiz show if you think you win something....at least you know it's above board.

My friends is really p****d off by this whole episode. Her computer was hacked and whoever was responsible got her "friends" list from FB so was targetting them all. Luckily we're all savvy enough not to fall for it. Reported to FB.

I understand changing your password but what is changing her profile meant to achieve? The last time I checked scammers don't pick people from how they look but pick at random,have bought their details or are known to be "Low hanging fruit"
