Je vous salue M Le Champignon :-)
Surely M. Le champignon vingt-cinq !!! :-)

I really wouldn't dig deeper if I were you, mushroom. Your question clearly suggested that the "cleansing" being undertaken by the French authorities is akin to the Final Solution. Yes you only posed the question, but the association was clearly in your mind. I must say it never crossed mine. City authorities have a duty to ensure that public health is protected and allowing large numbers of people to live rough in the centre of a large city would be an abrogation of that responsibility.

The problem here has been caused by porous international borders instigated by the EU. Make no mistake, mainland Europe is under invasion. The numbers involved are enormous and the problems presented by them are profound and disturbing.
bonnet de douche!
Pas probleme! Used to teach French to ex-pats who arrived without a word of the language. I suppose holidays had led them to expect that the French would speak English - not in 'France Profonde' they don't!

On OP - I don't think you can equate the two, mushroom. Borders now have to be firm and it is some time now since I went against all my humanitarian, western instincts and realised that people had to be either stopped from landing or shipped straight back to whence they came. I think they should be fed, clothed, vaccinated against every disease we can do, given the equivalent of, say, £100 to get them started and flown back to the country they came from originally.
