Are the teachers on this programme real teachers, or actors who have been taught to teach for the purpose of the show?

Failed teachers with a secret longing to be actors, is my guess.

The webpages for the current series of That'll Teach 'Em - Boys v Girls lack the profiles of the staff found in those of the previous series (link) which give an indication of the type of background of those who participated. A few members of the staff appear in both series.

The Headmaster also featured in another reality show last summer where several families were trying to live with each other in a site with caravans on it. There were about 6 groups and he was one of them (on his own). They gave a short summary of each group - one was a family with loads of kids, one was a family who liked to play loud music at all hours etc..

He lives in Hanwell (west London) and is involved with community groups and that sort of thing (he put me in mind of the Richard Briers character in Ever Decreasing Circles!). I can't remember if is actually a teacher , but he was in the first series though not , I think , as the Headmaster

oh i remember that !
