It seems I will be moving to my mothers flat in the not too distant future. She has been offered the ground floor flat below her current flat, and, as she owns it the most logical solution would appear to be for me to move into hers. I have my own house but as its three bedrooms and I live alone its too big really. I guess (on a positive note) I can rent mine out - once some work is done
I'm just a bit sad cause I live in a rural setting.
If you are not looking forward to moving then don't -its your choice. Logic does not come into it, nor does the size of your house. If you are happy where you are then stay -your mother can rent out the flat you were going to move into.
Do you have to move then? Lots of us love our mothers but I wouldn't have wanted to go and live with mine for all the tea in China. You'll possibly end up resenting her.
She cannot come to me as she can no longer manage the stairs - and she does not like mine either
I guess things would be different if I could drive - but I can't so I'm coming to terms
Another positive is because there is no chain involved I can move at my own pace. Also the new flat is very near the precious babes school - and I will be picking her up on Mondays and Thurs in Sept
I took the babes to the flat yesterday and the PB said 'oh can I stay here for ever'
