Yes, very tragic.

Perhaps this will get the Management to put people before profit - but don't hold your breath.
Utterly dreadful - how a split second on a day out can blight lives so much.
How utterly horrible - you go out for a bit of fun and end up , with life changing injuries
Dreadful.

Every time I moan about my minor aches and pains I'll think of this tragic accident and thank my lucky stars instead of moaning.
//t is estimated that Merlin Entertainments, the company which owns Alton Towers, may have lost as much as £3m in revenue during the closure, or £500,000 a day.//

Totally in consequential in this instance

That is so sad.

I have current severe pain in both my Achilles Tendons due to back problems, but I am so grateful to have both of them to have pain in!!
Poor lass.
A dreadful way for a day out to end.

This is a terrible tragedy the results of which the poor girl will live with for the rest of her life so why do you feel the need to bring left wing anti management rhetoric into it. Do you even have any proof of your accusation? Have there been loads of accidents at Alton Towers?
Poor girl. I hope she has a strong family and group of friends to help her rebuild her life.
Dreadful for her. It was stated in the News that Alton Towers owners have said she will Not have to fight for compensation, though.
Very sad.

I don't think they put profit before people.

Very sad news indeed. Terrible way to end a very happy carefree day!
The management has already told the families they will look after them and that they won't have to fight for compensation. Can't ask for better than that other than it hadn't happened in the first place.
I just said that, ladybirder.
Yes very, very sad, but accidents occur on a regular basis and limbs are lost and sometimes much worse injuries are inflicted upon the victims of all accidents..
So you did Chrissa. Didn't see it. Sorry.
You're forgiven. Lol. :)
//The management has already told the families they will look after them and that they won't have to fight for compensation. //

under the circumstances they probably have no option - the ambulance chasers were tweeting minutes after it happened..

..... and that evening, a very oily solicitor oozed into the midlands today studio, like an oil slick, to be interviewed by nick owen about how his firm stood ready to take merlin to the cleaners.
